Lennart Olsson of the Center for Sustainability Studies at Lund University in Sweden, William Schlesinger, former director of the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies in Millbrook, New York and María José Sanz ecophysiologist and the scientific director at the Basque Center for Climate Change has been interviewed by Erik Stokstad from the Science Magazine about the results of last report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in Geneva, Switzerland.

La edición especial de Egunon Bizkaia de Herri Irratia-Radio Popular de agosto BC3 colabora con Arantza Sinoba en una sección semana donde el cambio climático será el hilo conductor. A lo largo de tres semanas, cada miércoles, entre las 12.30-13.00, investigadores del centro acompañaran a Sinoba para plasmar las causas y consecuencias de esta crisis climática.

The HORIZON Magazine interviewed researchers Ibon Galarraga and Eleanor Denny about the results of the CONSEED project and what they learned from consumers about their engagement with the range of energy efficient cars, property and appliances on the European market. Galarraga stressed "how is critical that Europe supports individuals to buy correctly, because energy eficiency is one of the easiest ways to save energy".

Plentzia, 18 de julio, se ha celebrado el curso de verano "Resistencia a antibióticos en el medio ambiente: origen de un escenario apocalíptico" donde durante dos días se ha hablado sobre el impacto en la salud humana, animal y medioambiental de la resistencia a antibióticos, un curso de verano que nace del convenio entre NEIKER-Tecnalia, Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU) y Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) para impulsar la iniciativa Joint Research Lab on Environmental Antibiotic Resistance (JRL). La prensa nacional e regional ha entrevistado a los organizadores y ponentes del curso de verano de la UPV/EHU celebrado en la Estación Marina de Plentzia (PiE).

Uztailaren 18an eta 19an, Plentziako Itsas Estazioan, antibiotikoekiko erresistentzia hizpide duen ikastaroa izango dugu, UPV/EHUko uda ikastaroen baitan. Antibiotikoekiko erresistentzian aditu diren ikerlari batzuek osasun publikoaren arazorik larrienetariko honen inguruko aspektu ezberdinak jorratuko dituzte eta gizakion, animalien eta ingurumenaren osasunean duen ondorioez arituko dira.

Marta Olazabal, investigadora de BC3, ha participado en la segunda edición de Fast Fast Forward LIVE, una serie de eventos globales sobre innovación y tecnología organizados por AXA XL. La segunda edición se ha centrado en la innovación de los seguros climático paramétrico. Olazabal ha sido parte del panel de expertos donde el debate se ha centrado en ejemplos prácticos de soluciones paramétricas aplicadas a varias industrias como Energía, Construcción, Alimentación y Distribución.

Nazio Batuen Klima-aldaketari buruzko Gobernuarteko Taldeak (IPCC) txosten berezi bat egin zuen beroketa globalaren efektuei buruz ohartarazteko eta planetaren batez besteko tenperatura 1,5C-ra mugatzeko beharra azaltzeko. Txosten horren ondoren, Europako ikerketa-zentro nagusietako batzuek helburu hori lortzeko giltzarri zientifiko eta politikoak aztertuko dituzte Klima Aldaketari buruzko Udako Eskolaren 10. edizioan. BC3k eta Euskal Herriko Unibertsitateak antolatu dute, elkarlanean, Udako Eskola hori.
