Espainiako Ekonomia Energiaren Biltzar Nazionalak BC3ko bi ikertzaile hautatu ditu zuzendaritza batzordeko kide. Ibon Galarraga Gallastegi zuzendari buru, eta aldi berean, Mikel González-Eguino presidenteorde hautatu du.
Gainera, kongresuak sari desberdinak banatu zituen ekitaldian. Sarituen artean Xaquin García Muros, Jon Sampedro eta Dirk-Jan Van de Ven aurkitzen dira, BC3ko ikertzaile gazteak.

BC3 Klima Aldaketa Ikergai-eko Guillermo Pardo Nieva ikertzaileak, , 2017ko azaroaren 27an, Valentzia Unibertsitate Politeknikoan, Espainiako Arku Mediterraneoan Klima Aldaketari buruzko Lehen Tesi Saria jaso zuen.

The Scientific Director of BC3, Prof.Maria Jose Sanz and Dr. Agustin del Prado, Senior researcher at BC3, participated in the IPCC "Second Lead Author Meeting for the Elaboration of the 2019 Refinement to the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories", that tool place in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe (25 Sep - 28 Sep 2017).

Biosphere stewardship is about humans recognizing that they are part of and indeed dependent on the biosphere to maintain their own well-being. When humans recognize that, they are also responsible for the sustainable use and protection of the living systems we depend on. But what kind of knowledge systems, values, management practices, behaviour and governance arrangements could help foster this biosphere stewardship? Ikerbasque Professor Unai Pascual from the Basque Centre for Climate Change offered his views on the issue. He highlighted the benefits of incorporating relational values in ecosystem assessments.

The five projects awarded funding in the first round of the Program for Early-stage Grants Advancing Sustainability Science (PEGASuS) focus on questions critical to human wellbeing – from sustainable farming to the loss of mountain biodiversity.

The BC3-NUT Office, that was officially opened at the headquarters of BC3 - Basque Center for Climate Change in Leioa on the 22nd of May, has the mission to coordinate the relations between Europe and Japan within the framework of Japan’s Top Global University (TGU) Project together with the Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT, Japan).
