The Scientific Director of BC3 Prof. Maria José Sanz has been selected as a member of the Editorial Board (Land Use, Land-Use Change and Forestry Sector) of the Emission Factor Database (EFDB) for the coming 4 years (2016-2019).In November 2015, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) invited governments and international organizations to nominate experts to serve on the Editorial Board of the EFDB and Prof. Maria José Sanz was selected.

The Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) in collaboration with Conservation International and the University of Vermont, organizes the 2016 edition of the International Spring University on Ecosystem Services Modeling.

BC3 just published a leaflet on the Urban Research carried out in the centre.Urban research at BC3 interacts with its four major research areas ((1) Low carbon, (2) Climate and Natural Environment, (3) Health and Climate and (4) Climate policy), emerging as a multidisciplinary field that explores the contribution of cities to global warming and the ecological, political, social and economic implications of climate change at the local scale.

BC3, Basque Centre for Climate Change ikerketa-zentroko zuzendari zientifikoa da urtarrilaz geroztik. Hein handi batean Parisko COP21 gailurrean hartutako erabakiek ezaugarrituko dute zientzialarien lana klima aldaketaren alorrean, Sanzen aurkezpenean ondo nabarmendu zutenez. Eta Valentzian (1963) jaiotako biologo honi ez zaio eskarmenturik falta nazioarteko akordioen alorrean, azken urteetako COP gehienetan parte hartu baitu. Iazko abenduan egindakoaz galdezka hasi dugu elkarrizketa.
