BC3 Seminar: Ecosystem Services, Climate Change, and the Environmentalists’ Paradox

The latest IPBES report warns us of ongoing biodiversity collapse. The Ecosystem Services framework suggests that this will seriously affect human well-being. But policy-makers do not seem to respond with any great alacrity to these warnings. Some skeptics even point to rising human well-being as an indication that the claims linking nature and well-being are exaggerated.

La revista Retema especializada en medio ambiente publica articulo referente al último informe de IPCC donde se han desarrollado metodológias para redefinir las directrices del inventario de 2006. BC3 ha sido un centro de referencia en el último informe donde la directora científica María José Sanz y el investigador Agustín del Prado han contribuido como coordinadora y autor principal.

New BC3-FAO-PROFOR/WB Infography: Mapping Katowice decisions related to Nationally determined contributions

The materials presented in this product seek to provide information on the Katowice Climate Package, agreed during the Katowice Climate Conference held in 2018. Specifically, it contains information on the decisions related to the modalities, procedures and guidelines for the transparency framework for action and support to facilitate understanding of the Parties’ communication and reporting obligations under the Paris Agreement, as well as the process to track progress implementation of NDC commitments. This material seeks to serve as a resource for developing countries for the update, review and communication of NDCs, as well as for the reporting and accounting of their NDC commitments.
