Mikel Gonzalez BC3ko ikertzaileak 2020rako erronka klimatikoak zeintzuk izango diren azaldu du. Garrantzitsuena, gailur klimatiko bat, Cop26, abenduaren amaieran Glasgowen, Eskozian. BC3k berriz ekin dio Radio Euskadiko Hágase la Luz programarekin duen lankidetzari, Mikel Gonzalez-Eguino ikertzaileari elkarrizketa bat eginez. Elkarrizketa horretan, planetaren etorkizunari buruz hitz egin dute, klima-aldaketari aurre egiteko 2020. urtea funtsezkoa delako.

Australiako suteei buruz hitz egin du María José Sanzek, Basque Centre for Climate Change erakundeko zuzendari zientifikoak, Teleberrin (ETB). Zientzialariaren arabera, "suteak klimatologian anomalia bat dagoelako gertatzen ari dira", udaren aurrerapenak eta lehorteak eraginda. Suteek, irailetik aktibo, herrialdeko airearen kalitatea okertu dute, eta Portugalen baino azalera handiagoa hartzen ari dira.

The Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) is looking for candidates who can support its strategic activities related to integrated data science and collaborative, integrated modeling on the semantic web. The selected candidates will contribute to the ARIES (ARtificial Intelligence for Ecosystem Services) project powered by the k.LAB software stack, a semantic web infrastructure that uses artificial intelligence to build computational solutions to environment, policy and sustainability problems. Excellent science needs excellent design. As such, we are seeking for a creative communication and training officer (predoctoral or postdoctoral) position specialized in content strategy, branded entertainment and creation of new generation formats.

Authors of the Methods and Guidance from the Global Forest Observations Initiative (GFOI) are gathering from 13 to 16 January 2020 at the Basque Center for Climate Change (bc3) in Bilbao, Spain to focus on the refinement of the GFOI Methods and Guidance Documentation (MGD).
