Since 2008, BC3 has provided decision makers worldwide with scientific knowledge, tools and methodologies on the causes and effects of climate change by integrating its environmental, socioeconomic, and ethical dimensions.

By following a transdisciplinary and participatory approach, BC3 has contributed ever since to the testing and demonstration of scalable solutions for sustainable development.

It’s already been 15 years since a small group of researchers from various disciplines came together in Bilbao, with the scope of advancing sustainability research to support policy- and decision-making in environmentally sustainable, economically efficient and socially equitable ways —and here we are still!
