Developed by an international science commission engaging more than 40 researchers from across the globe, the scientists deliver the first quantification of safe and just Earth system boundaries on a global and local level for several biophysical processes and systems that regulate the state of the Earth system.

El X Remedia Workshop, organizado conjuntamente por BC3 y la UPV/EHU, ha tenido lugar los días 11 y 12 de mayo en Bilbao. Bajo el lema “Mirando a las raíces: carbon farming”, este evento ha reunido en la capital vizcaína a 88 expertos y expertas a nivel estatal y de países hispano-hablantes con interés en el estudio de la mitigación de gases de efecto invernadero en el sector agroforestal que forman parte de la iniciativa científica Red Remedia.

La comunidad científica lleva tiempo preguntándose cómo cambió el clima de nuestro planeta hace 700.000 años, pasando de ciclos climáticos de 40.000 años de duración a los actuales de 100.000 años. Un nuevo estudio internacional publicado en la prestigiosa revista Nature Communications y en el que participa BC3 identifica un periodo glaciar “cálido” que habría permitido la acumulación de hielo necesaria para esta importante transición.

The Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) offers a full-time Research Assistant Position within the Horizon Europe project BlueAdapt (GA 101057764 funded by HORIZON-HLTH-2021-ENVHLTH-02-03 call) for a period of 12 months. The position will be located at the BC3 research group Health and Climate, within the Adaptation Lab research line.
