BC3 received the distinction of Collaborating Entity for the Equality of Women and Men awarded by the Basque Institute for Women – Emakunde, an autonomous organization of the Basque Government that designs, promotes, advises, coordinates and evaluates equality policies.

The Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) offers a full-time research assistant position on Modelling and Natural Capital Accounting, in order to support the research activities of Research Line (RL) 5 on Integrated Modelling of Coupled Human-Natural Systems, under the planes complementarios de investigación conjunta dedicated to biodiversity.

María José Sanz, directora científica de BC3 y presidenta de SOMMa, se reunió el pasado 10 de diciembre con la Ministra de Ciencia e Innovación Diana Morant, para establecer el plan de trabajo con el Ministerio para el 2023 que favorecerá el avance e implementación de las cuestiones claves de la ciencia a nivel estatal.

BC3, the Basque Centre for Climate Change, as Maria de Maeztu Unit, is a host insitution of FPI pre-doctoral fellowship promoted by the Ministry of Science and Innovation. BC3 offers up to 6 research projects to be carried out in a multidisciplinary and international research team.

BC3 will participate in the Emakumeak Zientzian initiative with the event“Training Caravan - Women and girls in Climate Change”, on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which is celebrated every year on 11 February. The day will consist of a round table broadcast online from BC3. Two female scientists working on climate change will talk about their personal and professional experiences.
