The Basque Centre for Climate Change is a host institution of Ikertalent 2022 programme – Grants for the support of research and technical staff in the scientific-technological and business field in the agricultural, fisheries and food sectors and offers a PhD to be carried out in a multidisciplinary and international research team. The doctoral fellowship aims to promote the training of researchers and technical staff by incorporating and participating in R+D+i projects to be carried out in scientific-technological areas, markets and business organisation in the agricultural, fishing and food of the Basque Country.

What do we offer:
BC3 offers a pre-doctoral position to work on “Characterisation of the climate impacts of ruminant livestock production systems in the Basque Country using baseline emission levels” project with the aim of evaluating, the current and future, climate impact and circularity potential of ruminant livestock farming in the Basque Country. This PhD would be directed by Agustin del Prado and Pablo Manzano, both Ikerbasque researchers, and would be part of the research group on agriculture and climate change at BC3.
Term of contract
The position will be for a period of 4 years

Salary
The annual gross remuneration of the grant will be 19,000 euros in the first year, 20,000 euros in the second year, 22,000 euros in the third year and 28,000 euros in the fourth year.
