Event Navigation

We would like to invite you to participate in the special event organized by BC3 on 11 February to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
A career in climate change research is a professional option in the Basque Country and a reality for women. In this special event, BC3 researchers will talk about their personal and professional experiences, the challenges they are facing and will show us the importance of gender mainstreaming in climate change research and action.
This event, which is organized within the framework of BC3 Responsible Science and Innovation Programme, is a special feature of our Training Caravan (Ikertzaileak gelan) initiative. This initiative, now in its 11th edition this year, aims to provide secondary school students in the BAC with answers to core climate change issues based on the most rigorous current scientific understanding while making a career in research interesting for students.
Since 2010, we have been working to awaken scientific vocation among students in the BAC, to bring research careers into the classroom and to promote the design of inclusive and sustainable science and innovation.
This special event will feature the experiences of:
- Teresa Gimeno: Ikerbasque Research Fellow
- Itxaso Ruiz: Postdoctoral Researcher
With Marta Olazabal | Axa Postdoctoral Research Fellow as event moderator.
The event will take place on Thursday 11 February at 10:00. It will be held through a virtual session which you can access through this LINK
The duration of the event will be 45 minutes, will be conducted in English and questions can be virtually asked through the online platform or via twitter #TC11F.
If you would like to send any suggestions or questions to be taken into consideration during the event, you can do so by sending an email to trainingcaravan@bc3research.org before the 5th of February.
