El equipo científico de BC3 (Basque Centre for Climate Change - Klima Aldaketa Ikergai) culmina esta semana su cambio de sede al Parque Científico de la Universidad del País Vasco – Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea. A partir del día 1 de junio, tanto el equipo investigador como el de administración, compuesto por 42 personas, estarán ya ubicados en la nueva sede.

Just after completing its change of headquarters to the University of the Basque Country Scientific Park, today 17th of June, BC3 is holding its 2016 ISAC annual meeting.
From its new headquarters BC3 aspires to plan and develop its contributions to climate change research at a moment of particular importance. Climate change has scaled the rungs of political agendas all over the world, and to manage the BC3 contribution in this stage, BC3 counts with a consultive body of independent experts created to provide advisory opinions and analysis on science to the centre.

Maria José Sanz (BC3 Basque Centre for Climate Change and IPCC)
Prof,. Maria José Sanz is the Scientific Director of BC3, Basque Centre for Climate Change since January 2016.
Prof. Sanz holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the Universidad de Valencia (1991) and has expertise in several scientific areas like Ecophysiology, Air pollution effects, lower and higher plants, Atmospheric dynamics and chemistry, Nitrogen and carbon cycles

The Scientific Director of BC3 Prof. Maria José Sanz has been selected as a member of the Editorial Board (Land Use, Land-Use Change and Forestry Sector) of the Emission Factor Database (EFDB) for the coming 4 years (2016-2019).

The Scientific Director of BC3 Prof. Maria José Sanz has been selected as a member of the Editorial Board (Land Use, Land-Use Change and Forestry Sector) of the Emission Factor Database (EFDB) for the coming 4 years (2016-2019).
In November 2015, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) invited governments and international organizations to nominate experts to serve on the Editorial Board of the EFDB and Prof. Maria José Sanz was selected.

BC3 just published a leaflet on the Urban Research carried out in the centre.
Urban research at BC3 interacts with its four major research areas ((1) Low carbon, (2) Climate and Natural Environment, (3) Health and Climate and (4) Climate policy), emerging as a multidisciplinary field that explores the contribution of cities to global warming and the ecological, political, social and economic implications of climate change at the local scale.

BC3 participará en las V Jornadas de Investigacion de la Facultad de Ciencia y Tecnología de la Universidad del Pais Vasco.
María José Sanz, Directora Científica del BC3 Basque Centre for Climate Change impartirá la Conferencia Inaugural de la Jornada que lleva por titulo: "Los retos del Cambio Climático: Un largo camino hasta París" y el centro tendrá además una participación activa en la sesión de presentación de posters.
