El investigador de BC3 Mikel González-Eguino ha obtenido la posición de Ikerbasque Research Professor por su destacada trayectoria científica. La investigación de González-Eguino tiene como objetivo apoyar la toma de decisiones para acelerar la transición hacia una economía baja en carbono, sostenible y que promueva la justicia social.

A recent paper published in Global Environmental Change analysed the long-term impacts of climate policies on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and concluded the need to align them with the Paris Agreement in order to keep the global average temperature below 2°C.

BC3 will participate in the Emakumeak Zientzian initiative with the event“Training Caravan - Women and girls in Climate Change”, on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which is celebrated every year on 11 February. The day will consist of a round table broadcast online from BC3. Two female scientists working on climate change will talk about their personal and professional experiences.

María José Sanz, directora científica de BC3 y presidenta de SOMMa, se reunió el pasado 10 de diciembre con la Ministra de Ciencia e Innovación Diana Morant, para establecer el plan de trabajo con el Ministerio para el 2023 que favorecerá el avance e implementación de las cuestiones claves de la ciencia a nivel estatal.
