We are holding a 2 days meeting in BC3 with Fran Lambrick, co-founder of the NGO Not1More (N1M) and two researchers from Sussex University, Sustainability Research Programme: Mika Pech and Mery Menton. The objective of the meeting is to develop tools for modelling and predicting risk to environmental defenders and find ways for sharing our innovative technology.
Sérgio H. Faria, researcher at the Basque Centre for Climate Change, is one of the four Spanish scientists that have participated in the Working Group I (WGI) First Lead Author Meeting (LAM1) in Guangzhou, China. This meeting marks the start of IPCC researchers’ joint work towards the completion of the WGI Report in 2021.
Sérgo H. Faria is participating in the EastGRIP 2018 field season from 21 July to 11 August 2018. His main task will be to supervise the ice-core line-scan operations. BC3 is the only research institution in the Iberian Peninsula participating directly in this ambitious project. This has been made possible thanks to the close collaboration of BC3 with the Japanese EastGRIP Team, in particular with the Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) and the National Institute for Polar Research (NIPR), in Tokyo.
