BC3 sponsors the Pint of Science Bilbao 2023 festival
BC3 is one of the sponsors of the Pint of Science 2023 science festival. On 22, 23 and 24 May, the festival will bring some of the hottest topics in science to the public of all ages through a programme of 24 talks held in four bars in Bilbao.
With this collaboration, BC3 supports one of the most important events of scientific dissemination at international level, which takes place in around 60 cities at national level and in 25 other countries in Europe, America, Asia and Oceania.
The talks in Bilbao, which will start at 19:00 h on 22 May, will take place in the following bars, each with a dedicated thematic area:
– Geuria! San Mamés. (Estadio San Mamés. Puerta 14). from the athoms to the stars
– Hika Ateneo. Eskola Zumarkalea, 1 (Muelle Ibeni – San Antón). Wonderful Mind and Our Body.
– Kubrick Bar. (Villarías, 2. Muelle Uribitarte) The Earth.
– Crazy Horse. (Avda. De las Universidades, 5) Tech me out!
BC3 will be present with three of its researchers in the Kubrick Bar. María Victoria Román will open the programme on the 22nd with her talk “Why do women climate scientists rebel? On the 23rd Ainhoa Magrach will take over with her talk on “The architecture of biodiversity”, and on the last day Marta Olazabal will address the challenges of cities in her talk “Urban planet: the challenge of climate change”.
A magnificent panel of speakers
Along with the three BC3 researchers, leading scientists from some of the most important academic and research centres in our territory will participate: UPV/EHU, University of Deusto, Biocruces, Azti, Biofisika Institute, Achucarro Basque Center for Neuroscience, BCMaterials, BCAM. Basque researchers working at other centres such as the Autonomous University of Madrid will also take part.
All talks at Pint of Science Bilbao 2023 are free of charge.
