Master thesis grants


The Low Carbon Programme (joint research initiative between the Basque Center for Climate Change (BC3) and the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU) offers, within the framework of a collaboration agreement with the BBK Foundation, two grants of 1,500 euros each for the realization of master’s theses on “Green Growth in Bizkaia”.

The call is addressed to the students of any of the eight official masters in the area of ​​Economics and Business of the UPV / EHU  that have approved before February 15, 2018 the obligatory credits of the corresponding Master.

The theses will cover one of the following topics:

  1. The advances in green growth and the generation of employment in Bizkaia in the period 2014-2017.
  2. Energy efficiency, economic growth and job creation in Bizkaia.
  3. Adaptation to climate change, economic growth and job creation in Bizkaia.
  4. Fiscal policy, economic growth and job creation in Bizkaia.

The selected projects will be (co-) directed by members of the Low Carbon Programme and will be defended in the UPV/EHU at the end of the academic year 2017/18.

The selected projects will have an allocation of 1,500 euros for the Master’s student once the Master’s thesis is successfully submitted following the procedure and the evaluation stipulated in the corresponding Master. This provision will be made effective upon delivery of the project, in accordance with current regulations and in accordance with this call.

In addition, each Master thesis will have a maximum of 1,500 euros to cover the expenses (fungible, bibliographic material, access to databases, software, attendance at conferences / courses / conferences, etc.) attributable to the project, in the same terms.
