Unai Pascual, BC3 Ikerbasque Ikertzailea, Etb1eko Ahoz Aho saioan izan da. Hilabete honetan Pascualek Ilaski Serranorekin ingurugiroko aktualitatezko gaiak jorratu ditu. Bereziki bi gai azpimarratu ditu ikertzaileak, Polonian gertatutako COP24a eta Brasilgo egoera politikoak klima aldaketan izango duen eragina.

Unai Pascual named to 2018 ‘highly cited researchers’ list

Unai Pascual, Ikerbasque Research Professor at BC3 (Basque Centre for Climate Change), has been named to the prestigious Clarivate Analytics list of "Highly Cited Researchers" for 2018 . The 2018 list of Highly Cited Researchers, in a new Cross-Field category to identify researchers with substantial influence across several fields during 2006-2016 with production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% in Web of Science, includes researchers ranking in the top 1 percent by citations for field and publication year.

En la recta final de este año 2018 Unai Pascual, investigador de Ikerbasque en BC3, es entrevistado en el programa Más que Palabras de Radio Euskadi sobre uno de los rectos más importantes que se enfrenta la sociedad actual; el cambio climático. A lo largo de la entrevista, Pascual se muestra critico con la situación política y social actual para hacer frente a este problema. Repasa los objetivos marcados en la cumbre climática de París de 2015 y que se ha conseguido hasta ahora.

IPS Correspondent Tharanga Yakupitiyage interviews Unai Pascual, one of the co-chairs of Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) about the importance of understanding the complex of the degradation of soil and land, is affecting one-third of the Earth’s land surface. The issue already affects 250 million people across the world, and it threatens an additional one billion people who depend on land for their needs.
