El grupo impulsor del Manifiesto Por Una Recuperación Sostenible, en el que participa el investigador Mikel González-Eguino, ha presentado en el Senado un manifiesto firmado por personas del mundo de las empresas, sindicatos, entidades sociales, universidades, ONG, administraciones y partidos políticos en el que reclaman un mayor consenso en el desarrollo del Plan de Recuperación para avanzar en la lucha contra la crisis climática.

The Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) offers full-time Postdoctoral research to be funded by Excellence Unit María de Maeztu MDM-2017-0714 financed by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 for the research on the sustainability of livestock pasture-based systems using participatory action research, and contribute to the overall goals of excellence of the María de Maeztu Excellence Unit, BC3.

The United Nations Climate Change Conference COP26, organised by the United Kingdom in collaboration with Italy from 31 October to 12 November 2021 at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow (United Kingdom) has as one of the key objectives to review the progress and current state of the Paris Agreement. In addition, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, COP26 offers the opportunity to be the platform for rebuilding local and global economies and establishing a sustainable path to recovery.

“GHG from extensive livestock systems” is a small project that feeds into the BC3 work currently carried out within the general subject of improving estimations of food-related climate impacts. The main objective of the project relates to the quantification and production of a GHG baseline for livestock pastoral production systems.
