María José Sanz, directora científica del Basque Centre for Climate Change, ha hablado con Teleberri (ETB) sobre los incendios de Australia. Según la científica los "incendios se producen porque hay una anomalía en la climatología", un avance del verano y la sequía a traído consigo la situación de vive ahora Australia.Los incendios, activos desde septiembre, han empeorado la calidad del aire del país y se extienden por una superficie superior a la de Portugal.

The Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) is looking for candidates who can support its strategic activities related to integrated data science and collaborative, integrated modeling on the semantic web. The selected candidates will contribute to the ARIES (ARtificial Intelligence for Ecosystem Services) project powered by the k.LAB software stack, a semantic web infrastructure that uses artificial intelligence to build computational solutions to environment, policy and sustainability problems. Excellent science needs excellent design. As such, we are seeking for a creative communication and training officer (predoctoral or postdoctoral) position specialized in content strategy, branded entertainment and creation of new generation formats.

Authors of the Methods and Guidance from the Global Forest Observations Initiative (GFOI) are gathering from 13 to 16 January 2020 at the Basque Center for Climate Change (bc3) in Bilbao, Spain to focus on the refinement of the GFOI Methods and Guidance Documentation (MGD).

Marta Olazabal, investigadora del Basque Centre for Climate Change, evalúa el plan de acción del ayuntamiento de Barcelona contra la emergencia climática en la revista Climática. En el artículo escrito por Eduardo Robaina Olazabal subraya la capacidad de maniobra de ciudades no es limitada. Según la investigadora "muchas medidas se deben de hacer en base a un diálogo multinivel" para que este plan de acción para parar el cambio climático sea positivo.
