Part-time Administrative Project Officer for RECODYN project

The Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3), offers a part-time administrative assistant position to support the research and management activities in the context of the European Research Council (ERC) project RECODYN (ID: 101043548), led by Dr. Daniel Montoya. This is a 5-year research project funded by the ERC that will be developed at the ‘Biodiversity, Ecosystems and Global Change’ lab, and within the framework of the Terrestrial Ecosystems Research Line (RL3).

The candidate will be recruited for the whole duration of the project (part-time: 50% of dedication), and will support the organization of the annual meetings, workshops and travels, the recruitment of personnel, the preparation of scientific reports, project communication and visibility, and other management aspects of RECODYN.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the PI in the management of the project
  • Manage interactions with specialists on ethical and legal aspects
  • Manage social media interactions and communications of project results
  • Support the organization of project meetings and conferences across the project, including financial and administrative aspects
  • Organization of travel and accommodation needs during the project

 Main requirements/skills:

  • Masters or PhD degree
  • Excellent management skills related to administration, finance, and communication
  • The applicant must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as excellent written and oral command of English is required. Good command of Spanish and French is also required because part of the project involves collaboration in France. Experience and knowledge of the regions where the project will take part is highly desirable
  • Manage social media
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a large group of people

Term of contract

Starting 1st of January 2023, the position will be for 5 years, with a six-month probation period.
