Ignacio Palomo es uno de los primeros siete integrantes de la Academia Joven, y ha sido miembro de la Global Young Academy desde 2018. Esta mañana, el ministro en funciones de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades del Gobierno español ha presidido en Madrid el acto de creación de la Academia Joven de España, que posteriormente ha celebrado su primera reunión de trabajo. Los primeros miembros son los siete científicos españoles que ya han sido miembros de la Global Young Academy, que reúne desde 2010 a investigadores jóvenes brillantes de todo el mundo.

The materials presented in this product seek to provide information on the Katowice Climate Package, agreed during the Katowice Climate Conference held in 2018. Specifically, it contains information on the decisions related to the modalities, procedures and guidelines for the transparency framework for action and support to facilitate understanding of the Parties’ communication and reporting obligations under the Paris Agreement, as well as the process to track progress implementation of NDC commitments. This material seeks to serve as a resource for developing countries for the update, review and communication of NDCs, as well as for the reporting and accounting of their NDC commitments.

The new EU H2020 project Paris Reinforce (Delivering On the Paris Agreement: A Demand-Driven, Integrated Assessment Modelling Approach) has kicked off with its first meeting held in Athens in the beginning of June, 2019. The project has been granted over 6.5 million € funding from the European Commission under the call for supporting the design and assessment of climate policies call of the Horizon 2020 program, with the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) as one of the main partners of this consortium.

Church y al británico Jonathan Gregory, por integrar mediciones y datos obtenidos in situ sobre el nivel del mar, facilitando entender qué efectos tendrá sobre el cambio climático y las ciudades.
