The ARIES team regrets to announce that due to the global crisis deriving from the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 edition of the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) International Spring University (ISU) on Ecosystem Services Modelling will not be able to take place and have been postponed until May 2021.

After carefully examining all of the alternatives and closely following the official guidelines, this decision has been reached as the only possible way to safeguard the health and wellbeing of all our participants and team.

The ARIES team is already working closely with the participants and partners in order to reschedule in May 2021 the training sessions that all of us were looking forward to this year.

The 2021 edition may also include a digital format and content designed for our current context of COVID-19. The idea arises from our commitment to continue to prepare a new generation of modelers in order to address and solve sustainable issues, on an international level.

We’d also like to extend our thanks to you all, for your understanding and great support, and to reassure you of our absolute commitment to keeping this event.

We encourage you to stay tuned over the summer for new details of the 8^th edition of ISU, and look forward to seeing you virtually and in person next May 2021, to once again gather at BC3 venue.
