The Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3), offers a one-year full-time research assistant position in order to support the assessment of different climate and energy policies in Spain that will be carried out by the Transition to a Low Carbon Society research line in different projects.

The Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) opens a competitive call for applications to one PhD contract to develop a doctoral thesis on issues related to energy modelling and climate policy. The applicant will develop their thesis in the context of the PARIS REINFORCE project, a European Commission H2020 research project. PARIS REINFORCE aims to underpin climate policymaking and enhance the science-policy interface, in light of the Paris Agreement and associated challenges.

Mikel Gonzalez-Eguino, investigador Senior de BC3 - Basque Centre for Climate Change: Klima Aldaketa Ikergai, junto a Ricardo Pedraz, consultor de Afi, ha escrito una tribuno de opinión titulado " La burbuja financiera de las energías fósiles" en Cinco Días. En este artículo los investigadores Gonzalez-Eguino y Pedraz analizan las inversiones actuales en energía y la inestabilidad financiera que podría ocasionar si no se cambia el sistema para incrementar la inversión en energías renovables y reducir en energías fósiles.
