Ayudante de investigación – Transition to a Low Carbon Society

The Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3), offers a one-year full-time research assistant position in order to support the assessment of different climate and energy policies in Spain that will be carried out by the Transition to a Low Carbon Society research line in different projects.

The research assitant is expected to:

  • Help developing the assessment of the different scenarios for greenhouse gas emissions up to 2030 and 2050 for Spain.
  • Help improving an existing in-house developed model and collecting data.
  • Write reports.
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to collaborate in different tasks.

 

Experience/skills required:

The applicant should have a degree in Engineering, Economics or similar, with a solid background in the energy field. Having a Master degree is highly value, but it is not compulsory.

  • Applicants should have excellent interpersonal as well as communication skills (both written and oral) in Spanish and English.

Other experience/skills valued:
Previous experience in technical assessments of energy and climate policies is highly valued

 

Term of contract

The position will be for a period of one year starting in September 2018, with a probation period of 3 months based on the performance of the work carried out by the researcher.
