Soils are increasingly recognised to have an important role, both for human wellbeing and for the global climate. There are clear benefits for people and the planet in the sustainable transformation of land management to practices that reduce soil degradation, mitigate erosion, and maintain or restore soil organic carbon, nutrients, and soil water. From maintaining biodiversity to providing ecosystem services, good forest management practices start in the soil.

La transición energética hacia la neutralidad climática requiere de medidas urgentes que sigan la senda marcada en el Pacto Verde Europeo, siendo la fiscalidad verde uno de los pilares de actuación.
Recientemente, la Comisión Europea ha lanzado una propuesta de reforma de la Directiva sobre Fiscalidad de la Energía, donde se fijan nuevos tipos impositivos mínimos para los bienes energéticos.OTEA pone a disposición de la sociedad un conjunto de información fiable, actualizada y de fácil acceso para hacer un seguimiento más preciso de la transición energética en España. OTEA desarrolla nuevas metodologías e investigaciones desarrolladas en BC3 que ayudarán a informar a la sociedad y a mejorar la toma de decisiones.
OTEA pone a disposición de la sociedad un conjunto de información fiable, actualizada y de fácil acceso para hacer un seguimiento más preciso de la transición energética en España.

BC3 researcher Marta Olazabal has been granted with a European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant to implement her project IMAGINE Climate Change Adaptation in Urban Areas. The main goal of ‘IMAGINE adaptation’ is to advance pioneering science for the evaluation of urban adaptation and its governance across scales.
