Research Assistant: Indicators for a Just Energy Transition in Spain

The Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3), offers a full-time research assistant position in order to support the development of leading indicators to track the energy transition in Spain that will be carried out by the Low Carbon research line.

The research assistant is expected to:

  • Develop indicators of vulnerability to transport and more updated indicators of energy poverty and vulnerability to transport in Spain.
  • Develop indicators of micro-enterprises and SME vulnerable to the increasing cost of energy
  • Write reports
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders
  • Flexibility to collaborate in different tasks and projects

 

Experience/skills required: The applicant should have a degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or similar. Having a Master degree is highly valued, but it is not compulsory.

Applicants should have excellent interpersonal as well as communication skills (both written and oral) in Spanish and English.

Other experience/skills valued: Previous experience in developing leading indicators, solid background in econometrics, data management and programing skills are highly valued.

 

Term of contract

The position will be for a period of at 1 year starting in September 2022, with a probation period of 3 months based on the performance of the work.
