The BC3-Basque Centre for Climate Change is a Research Centre based in Leioa which aims to contribute to long term research on the causes and consequences of climate change in order to foster the creation of knowledge in this multidisciplinary science. This center is part of the network of BERCs – Basque Excellence Research Centers supported by the Basque Government.

BC3 seeks to be a world-class climate change research center aimed at informing decision-making at the Basque, Spanish, and International level by integrating natural and social sciences to address the socio-economic implications of global climate change. Requieres a Administration and Management Technician.

 

The candidate will work closely with the General Manager and BC3 Officers in the Procurement, Financial and Human Resources procedures of the Research Centre.

Main tasks:

  • Support  to Legal & Compliance officer in the elaboration, follow up and reporting activity of the procurement process and invoicing.
  • Support to Project Officer in projects proposal, follow up and reporting: support to financial and activity reports, assistance to the auditing process, trip management, expenditure registry, invoicing, cost and time control…
  • Support to Operation Manager in HR administrative tasks.
  • Document Management related to public and private funding.
  • Support Knowledge Transfer Office activities.

Skills required:

  • Professional Training (FP)/ Degree in Administration and Finances.
  • Advanced Office software knowledge.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English, Basque and Spanish.
  • Flexibility to adapt to new procedures/policies.
  • Team work and Positive attitude.
  • Problem solving
  • Previous experience in similar activities.

Term of contract

The job position involves a 2 years job renewable upon positive evaluation and immediate incorporation, with a competitive salary in accordance with the level and responsibility of the position.
