The Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) is looking for a motivated forest researcher to work on the project RESH2O
BC3 seeks for a researcher in forest management and modelling, including aspects of ecosystem services, forest and their role in mitigation and adaptation to climate change under RESH20 project. The main objective will be the identification of best choices for restoration of ecosystem services and water cycle while addressing climate change mitigation and adaptation in Mediterranean watersheds, through forest management and forest restoration activities. The selected candidate will collaborate with the ARIES (ARtificial Intelligence for Ecosystem Services) BC3 community to integrate forest restoration and management models into the semantic web infrastructure that uses artificial intelligence to build computational solutions to environmental, policy and sustainability problems. The project RESH2O will be carried out with the support of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, through the Biodiversity Foundation.
