Anil Markandya, BC3 Former Director and Distinguished Ikerbasque Professor, has been appointed as EAERE Fellow


BC3- Basque Centre for Climate Change former director and Distinguished Ikerbasque Professor Anil Markandya has been appointed as EAERE Fellow. The EAERE Fellows program was instituted in 2019 to recognize outstanding contributions in the field of environmental and resource economics for their contributions to the advancement of the profession of environmental and resource economists through outstanding publications, and/or important roles in the policy word, and/or important roles in the Association’s governance and/or activities.

The European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE), founded in 1990, is an international scientific association whose aims are to contribute to the development and application of environmental, climate and resource economics as a science in Europe, to encourage and improve collaboration and communication between scholars, researchers, policymakers, students in environmental, climate and resource economics in different European countries; and to develop and encourage the cooperation across universities and research institutions in Europe.
