Prof. Maria Jose Sanz has participated in the development of the new Methodology Report “2019 Refinement to the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories” as Coordinating Leading Author


The Scientific Director of BC3, Prof. María José Sanz, is currently in Kyoto, Japan, in the IPCC discussion on the last new Methodology Report titled “Refinement of 2019 of the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories”, within which she participates as the coordinator of leading author Agustin Prado, BC3 researcher.

The development of the new Methodology Report to refine the current inventory guidelines (2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories), is being carried out by the Task Force on National Greenhouse Gas Inventories (TFI) in accordance with the decision taken at the 44th Session of IPCC in Bangkok, Thailand, in October 2016. The final draft of this new Methodology Report titled “2019 Refinement to the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories” (2019 Refinement) will be considered by the IPCC for adoption/acceptance at its Plenary Session in May 2019.

 

 

IPCC-49

Forty-ninth Session of the IPCC (IPCC-49) scheduled is taking place from 8 to 12 May 2019 at the Kyoto International Conference Center, Kyoto, Japan. The main agenda items of the Forty-ninth Session of the IPCC was the adoption and acceptance of the Methodology Report titled “2019 Refinement to the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories” (2019 Refinement).
