BC3´s Official Side Event at COP22 (November 17)

United Nations Climate Change Conference COP22_CMP12 (Side Event) organized by BC3 “Sustainable development priorities of highly sensitive regions to Climate Change in Latin America: Appropriate orchestration of Adaptation and Mitigation actions”Since 2010 BC3 has been playing an active role at COPs with a variety of contributions.This year, 2016 BC3 will be contributing to different Side Events at COP22 (see full BC3 Agenda at COP22 here) and has organized its own Side Event jointly with the Government of El Salvador with the objetive of Transfering Knowledge and promoting implementation.

Scientific Director of BC3 Prof. Maria José Sanz elected member of the Editorial Board of the IPCC´s Emission Factor Database (EFDB)

The Scientific Director of BC3 Prof. Maria José Sanz has been selected as a member of the Editorial Board (Land Use, Land-Use Change and Forestry Sector) of the Emission Factor Database (EFDB) for the coming 4 years (2016-2019).In November 2015, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) invited governments and international organizations to nominate experts to serve on the Editorial Board of the EFDB and Prof. Maria José Sanz was selected.

Los investigadores del Basque Centre For Climate Change (BC3) Agustin del Prado (investigador BC3 y coordinador de RED REMEDIA) y Maria Jose Sanz (Directora Científica del BC3) acaban de publicar en el último número especial sobre el Acuerdo de París sobre cambio climático de la revista AMBIENTA del Ministerio de Agricultura, Alimentación y Medio Ambiente (MAGRAMA) un pequeño análisis sobre el acuerdo de París y sus repercusiones en los sectores relacionados con la Agricultura, Usos de la Tierra, Cambio de Uso de la Tierra y Silvicultura (conocido como AFOLU por sus siglas en inglés).
