BC3 co-chairs a session on Adaptation Tracking at the “3rd European Climate Change Adaptation Conference”, Glasgow 2017

Researchers from BC3, McGill University and Wageningen University organize a parallel session in the main reference forum on climate change adaptation at European scale, the "European Climate Change Adaptation Conference 2017" that is to held in Glasgow from the 5th to the 9th of June. This parallel session will focus on the challenges of measuring the progress on adaptation at multiple levels.

Resilience is a multi-faceted concept frequently used across a wide range of disciplines, practices, and sectors. There is a growing recognition of the utility of resilience as a bridging concept that can facilitate inter-and transdisciplinary approaches to tackle complexities inherent in decision making under conditions of risk and uncertainty.

BC3 Journal Article “Benefits From Water Related Ecosystem Services in Africa and Climate Change”

The present study collects original monetary estimates for water related ecosystem service benefits on the African continent from 36 valuation studies. A database of 178 monetary estimates is constructed to conduct a meta-analysis that, for the first time, digs into what factors drive water related ecosystem service values in Africa
